Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb’s Statement on General Election Kick-Off with Early Ballots and Resources for Voters
LINCOLN, NE - Nebraska Democratic Party Chair Jane Kleeb released the following statement regarding early ballots being sent out statewide today, kicking off the General Election:
“County Election offices across Nebraska are sending out early ballots today, marking the beginning of one of the most important General Elections in our lifetime. Our party is investing more resources this year to ensure we are not only securing an electoral vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz but also sending Democrats and Independents to all levels of office.
Our Voting Center is a central hub providing voters with important resources, including Democratic Voter Guides for all 93 of Nebraska’s counties. The Voter Guides list every Democrat and endorsed Independent at every level of office as well as the critical ballot measures. The guides are both mailed to voters and pushed online.
We are equally proud of our Democrats Deliver newspaper which includes candidate profiles, valuable voter resources, actions voters can take, and articles in Spanish. The newspapers are being delivered by our volunteer Block Captains across the state and at yard-sign events. Additionally, we continue to run an aggressive voter registration, vote-by-mail campaign, events like watch parties, and door-to-door canvassing for candidates.
These tools and actions will aid in breaking the one-party rule in our state by electing Democratic and Independent candidates who share our values of freedom and choice while building an opportunity economy for everyone.”
