Trans 101: What it Means to Be Transgender
Wednesday, June 14 from 6 - 7pm
Join Jillian Celentano for an introduction to what it means to be transgender. This program is for anyone in the community eager to understand what transgender/gender diverse is, different language and terminology, pronouns, gender journeys, and more. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions and gain new insights.

Estate Planning: Overview and
Recent Law Changes
Thursday, June 22 from 6:30 - 7:30pm
The past couple years have taught us that life circumstances can change in an instant. If they do, are you prepared? Consider some difficult questions…. Do you want to be on life support? Who will pay your bills if you can’t? And if you pass away, how will your estate be divided amongst your heirs?
In this program, learn from Madison-based Attorney Erin Duques about why a Will is important, what a power of attorney (POA) does, who might you name as your agent, what is a trust, and should you consider having one. You’ll walk away understanding what these documents are for, and what you need to do to create yours. Even if you have already created an estate plan, come learn about recent law updates and discover if you should have your existing documents reviewed and updated.

Secrets of a Mockingbird: The Secret Life of Harper Lee

Explore the secret life of Harper Lee. Harper Lee, author of To Kill a Mockingbird, was of one of America’s most beloved but reclusive authors. In this solo show, we learn of her close relationships with her father and her childhood friend,Truman Capote, until they both broke her heart. She never wrote another book. Until she did.

Exploring Our Grief Journey:
A Grief Support Group
Every Monday from 6 - 7:30pm
An open peer support group led by AccentCare Bereavement Volunteer Cheryl Cole and centered around the legacy of your loved one. Connect with others who are grieving, and join a compassionate group of listeners dedicated to honoring fond memories and exploring the impact of loss and grief on their lives.
Cheryl Cole is an AccentCare Bereavement Volunteer and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist. She has a passion for supporting individuals in their process of grief from a feelings based approach.
Registration is NOT required to attend this in person event.
Writers Group
Meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the Month
from 6:30 - 7:30pm
Looking to connect with other writers in the Branford area? Join our brand new writers group! Group will meet biweekly for sessions that include a block of writing time, as well as a workshop session. Meet fellow writers and workshop new and old pieces in a friendly and supportive environment. All genres/levels welcome.

Blackstone Fiber Art Commuity
Every Wednesday from 6 - 8pm
Join us for a weekly fiber art group. All experience levels in knitting, crochet, spinning, weaving, sewing, felting, embroidery, and all fiber art forms are welcome! Drop in any time between 6 and 8pm. Registration is not required to attend this in person event.
