To experience Taos is to surrender oneself to the mountain, so we go on a wine hike of a different peak…Mt. Etna! Taste through the many expressions found on the volcanic slopes of this majestic Sicilian treasure. William Davis, Director of Education for Wilson Daniels, will walk you through a selection of 8 Mt. Etna wines from two of the great producers in the region; Benanti, a family with 3 centuries upon Etna, and Idda, the new winery of Gaja and Alberto Graci.

4:00PM - 5:00PM: Champagne & Caviar - El Monte Sagrado resort

Caviar and Blinis and other savory seafood bites from Chef Louis Moskow of 315 Restaurant & Wine Bar in Santa Fe served with Champagne from Skurnik Wines, Charles Neal Selections and Champagne Philipponnat – and sparkling wine from New Mexico’s own, Vara. A perfect way to start and segue into your Reserve Tasting experience.

5:00PM - 7:30PM: Reserve Tasting & Silent Auction - El Monte Sagrado resort

All 28 winery partners pouring their best wines alongside bites from great Taos restaurants. A silent wine auction of 40 wine lots benefits Taos High School’s Great Chefs of Taos program.

January 31, 2025

12:00PM - 1:30PM: France, Italy & Spanish Wine Lamb Walkaround - Der Garten Bistro

Spanish, Italian and French wines from Jose Pastor Selections, Dalla Terra, Rosenthal Wine Merchant, Demeine Estates and Broadbent Selections, with lamb dishes from guest chefs from High Mountain Cuisine and Pig + Fig Café.

2:30pm - 3:30pm: Wine Seminar - Village of Taos Ski Valley

The tradition returns, we are excited to have Justin Timsit the Director of Sales at Martine’s Wines hosting a Burgundy seminar. Justin will show 8 wines from four Burgundian producers from Martine’s wines.

4:30pm - 6:00pm: Après Ski Tasting - Cid’s Mt. Market Village of Taos Ski Valley

Our California winery participants pour their best new releases from California with scrumptious snacks and charcuterie bites from Cid’s Mountain Market and wines from Bedrock, Capture, Frog’s Leap, Kendall Jackson, Klinker Brink, Marietta, Mayacamas, Ridge and Spire.

February 1, 2025

12:00PM - 1:30PM: Pinot Noir, Salmon & Oyster Walk-Around Tasting - TSV Snakedance Deck at Chair One

Salmon and oysters from Chefs Shane Alexander of Snakedance and Joseph Wrede of Joseph’s Culinary Pub with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sparkling from 6 of our winery participants – Beaux Freres, Belle Pente, Brick House, Sequitur, Sotor, Flowers and Robert Sinskey.

3:30pm - 4:30pm: Wine Seminar - El Monte Sagrado Resort

Lily Mirabelle Freedman, the GM at Dunn Vineyards, is excited to come to Taos Ski Valley for the first time and will pour a rare vertical of Dunn Howell Mt. Cabernet Sauvignon – vintages 2019, 2018, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2011, 1998 and 1995. A unique opportunity to taste this reference point Napa Cabernet Sauvignon from three decades.

5:00PM - 7:30PM: Grand Tasting - El Monte Sagrado Resort

All 28 winery partners pouring wines alongside tastes from Taos and the Village of Taos Ski Valley’s best restaurants.
