Memphis, TN – The Memphis Botanic Garden (MBG) is pleased to announce the return of the Food Truck Garden Party series in 2024. Slated for May 8, June 12, September 11, and October 9 from 5-8 pm, the Garden will be open for extended hours for visitors to explore the 96-acre grounds. Held on MBG’s Great Lawn, each event features live music, local food trucks, and activities & games. Dogs are also welcome during these special extended hours and a cash bar will be available to grab a seasonal sip, beer, or wine to enjoy during their visit.

“Memphis has the best picnic weather, and we invite you to come and join the festivities at the Food Truck Garden Party. With 96 acres of natural beauty, you can easily find the perfect spot for dinner al fresco,” said Gina Harris, Director of Education and Events. “Whether coming as a group, with family, or exploring solo, the Food Truck Garden Party is a great place to enjoy music, food, and fun right in the heart of Memphis!”

The series kicks off on May 8 with live music from Josh Cosby and Jeremy Stanfill and food from Fresh Gulf Shrimp, Mexico in Memphis, The Fry Guy, Sushi Jimmy, and Big River Dogs. On June 12 enjoy El Mero Taco, Big River Dogs, Mr. Casas Japanese & Mexican Food, The Fry Guy, and Just Wraps while listening to music from Short in the Sleeve. After a summer hiatus, the series continues on September 11 with performances from Rowdy Franks and Big River Dogs, Good Groceries Mobile Diner, and Mr. Casas Japanese & Mexican Food will be on-site. The series concludes on October 9 with music from Tracking Giants and guests can grab a picnic dinner from El Mero Taco, Big River Dogs, Good Groceries Mobile Diner, and The Fry Guys.

The Food Truck Garden Party series is a unique, family-friendly destination or date night on the second Wednesday of May, June, September, and October! The event is free with Garden admission and advanced reservations are not required. MBG Members enjoy free daily admission to the Garden, including the Food Truck Garden Party series. For non-members, daily admission tickets can be purchased upon arrival and are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (62+), $7 for children aged 2-12, and free for children under 2.
