From: The Norwalk Art SpaceConnecticut Arts Hero
We're so happy to announce that our incredible Executive Director Duvian Montoya has been named a Connecticut Arts Hero! This award honors and celebrates "Connecticut residents who are doing inspiring things in, for, or through the arts in Connecticut." We're a little biased, but we can't think of anyone who deserves this recognition more than Duvian!
In addition to being the Executive Director and heart of The Norwalk Art Space, Duvian is a professional artist, muralist, curator, and community organizer. His vibrant paintings, striking murals, and captivating installations grace numerous collections like the SONO Collection, Housatonic Community College, The Mattatuck Museum, The City of Norwalk, Westport, New Haven, Disney, and Gulfstream Worldwide. He also co-founded two prominent Fairfield County Arts organizations: "The Saint Philip Artist Guild" (Norwalk) in 2008 and "The Artists Collective of Westport" in 2014.
Everyone is welcome to attend a special public event at Infinity Music Hall in Hartford on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 6pm to honor the 2023 Arts Heroes. Just click the image above to RSVP! This award was made possible by CT Office of the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County.
