Schools and Libraries
March 13, 2023
From: Jones LibraryThis Week at the Jones Library
It's the middle of March already, and many of the local colleges are on spring break this week. It's also the beginning of Daylight Saving Time this weekend. There are many programs lined up for the coming week, so please take a minute to read over the news items below and plan your visits to the library! You can always find more information on our website about these events, as well as to access our online resources and collections.
Daylight Saving Time Begins
Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 12, at 2:00 am, when we “spring forward” one hour. If your clocks don't adjust themselves, don't forget to do it before going to bed on Saturday night, so you wake up at the right time on Sunday!
Toddler Movement Program with The Center Dance
Monday, March 13 from 10:00 - 10:45 am
Join our neighbors from The Center Dance for a gentle, joyful introduction to creative movement for toddlers and their caregivers. Using imagery, rhyme, and song, children are guided through simple yet foundational movement patterns that promote kinesthetic awareness, coordination, and focus. Simple, engaging picture books will spark young imaginations while caregivers bond with children, socialize with other adults, and generally rock out. We will meet March 13th, 20th, and 27th. This program is recommended for ages 2+.
