Happy Thursday! We hope everyone is having a wonderful week! We have some exciting events and programs coming up. As a reminder, the Community Conversation on Mental Health has been moved to tonight at 6 p.m. at Council Chambers. Please read on to learn more and stay safe and healthy Oro Valley!
A Community Conversation on Mental Health
Date: Thursday, December 8 ~ TONIGHT ~
Time: 6 p.m.
Location: Oro Valley Council Chambers, 11000 N. La Canada Dr.
Details: Join the Town of Oro Valley for a community conversation on mental health. This event will include a panel of representatives from the Oro Valley Police Department, Oro Valley Parks & Recreation, Golder Ranch Fire District, Arizona Complete Health and local mental health professionals. Community members are invited to come out to learn about local resources, have an insightful conversation and engage and ask questions of our panel members. This event will also be available virtually via Zoom. Zoom info will be posted on the event page (click here) prior to the event. The December 2022 event will focus on navigating the added stress and anxiety that comes with the holiday season.

STEAM PUMP RANCH GARAGE RESTORATION RIBBON CUTTING

Location: Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N. Oracle Rd.
Details: The Town of Oro Valley invites the community to a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the restoration of the Garage building at historic Steam Pump Ranch (10901 N. Oracle Road) on Saturday, December 10 at 10 a.m. Guest speakers include Mayor Joe Winfield and Parks and Recreation Director Kristy Diaz-Trahan.
SECOND SATURDAY AT STEAM PUMP RANCH

Details: Second Saturday at Steam Pump Ranch is a great opportunity to view unique handcrafted products and find out about special services offered by our local business owners. But that's not all, there will be tours of the Pusch House Museum given by the Oro Valley Historical Society, gardening and archaeological demonstrations offered by Archaeology Southwest, live music, crafts for kids in the heritage garden and our great Heirloom Farmer's Market.
SnOV: AN ORO VALLEY HOLIDAY EVENT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Date: Tuesday, December 20
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Location: Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center (backside near the driving range)
Details: Join us for the SnOV event at the Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center. This free community event will feature games, crafts, a photo booth, food and drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) available for purchase, actual SNOW and a visit from Santa! Due to limited parking at the Community Center, the Town is asking visitors to park at the Oro Valley Town Hall parking lot (11000 North La Cañada Drive) and walk over to the event.
NINTH ANNUAL HOT COCOA 5K RUN/WALK
Date: Sunday, January 1

Details: Join the Town of Oro Valley as we kick off 2023 with the ninth annual Cocoa 5k run/walk on Sunday, January 1! The race will take place along the multi-use path, beginning at Steam Pump Ranch, and will include snacks, water and of course, hot cocoa. This is a professionally-timed race, and prizes will be awarded to the overall male and female winners and five-year age group categories. It's a fun way to start your New Year's resolutions with the entire family.
