Beyond Hike
Date: Saturday, January 14

Location: Linda Vista Trailhead, 730 E Linda Vista Rd, Oro Valley, AZ 85737
Details: We are partnering with Beyond-Tucson for a guided hike on Saturday, January 14 at the Linda Vista Trail Head. Join us for a free family-friendly 2.2 miles on a beautiful trail. Pre-registration is required.

Second Saturday At Steam Pump Ranch
Date: Saturday, January 14
Time: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Location: Steam Pump Ranch, 10901 N. Oracle Road
Details: Second Saturday at Steam Pump Ranch is a great opportunity to view unique handcrafted products and find out about special services offered by our local business owners. But that's not all, there will be tours of the Pusch House Museum given by the Oro Valley Historical Society, gardening and archaeological demonstrations offered by Archaeology Southwest, live music, crafts for kids in the heritage garden and our great Heirloom Farmer's Market.

Location: Overlook Restaurant at the Community & Recreation Center
Details: Join us for a trivia day at the Overlook at the Community & Recreation Center! The event will include a 75-minute traditional bar-style trivia session, happy hour deals on food and drinks and a child watch option for parents with kiddos. Participation in trivia is free; however, the child watch service will be $5 per child. Pre-registration is required for child watch and trivia registration is only required by one person per team (up to 6 players per team).

Riverfront Park Playground Closed January 9 - February 3
The Riverfront Park playground will be closed from Monday, January 9 to Friday, February 3 for improvements. The Town will be replacing steps and decks on the play structure and removing the recycled rubber fall surface and replacing it with wood fiber. We appreciate your patience during this improvement and we invite you to use the playgrounds at Naranja Park and James D. Kriegh Park.

Pickleball Programming
- We have new pickleball leagues and clinics available! We will continue to add new programs as we get back into the swing of things, so make sure you are checking PlayOV.com. As well, we have added open play on TUESDAY evenings from 4-8 p.m. on courts 1-6.
- Court 1-6 closure January 9-10: Courts 1-6 will be closed January 9-10 to install gates to improve access. This closure includes open play on those mornings. Open play will be available on courts 7-10 on January 9 and 10.
Oro Valley Aquatic Center Updates
- The Oro Valley Aquatic Center will be closed through the end of January 2023, for improvements to the pump room circulation and filtration systems. Thank you for your patience while we work to maintain and improve the user experience at our facilities. All memberships will be on hold during this time and Aquatic Center members have the option to use the Community Center pool during the closure. We Want Your Feedback: General Plan Survey Now Available
The Town of Oro Valley invites residents of all ages to participate in a brief survey to identify the best ways to engage the community as the Town prepares for the next General Plan, which will be on the ballot in 2026. The survey, which is open now through January 26, can be taken by multiple members of the household. Survey participants will have the opportunity to provide an email address if they’d like to be notified of future opportunities for input and engagement on the plan. Saturday Wine Glass Painting

Details: Come have some fun painting on glass. Follow along with detailed step by step instruction, learning new brush strokes and techniques. Use the themed designs available in class, or create your own. This month's theme is Cherry blossoms. We use special acrylic glass paint that will stay on your painted wine glass permanently! It is even dishwasher safe. $35, Includes all supplies, and 1 glass of your choice to paint. Choose from 4 glass styles. Additional glasses available for purchase for $5 each.
Ukulele And Piano Group Classes

Location: Oro Valley Community & Recreation Center
Details: Have you always wanted to learn an instrument? This is a great opportunity to do so in a fun and engaging environment. Classes will be six to eight weeks and will be led by a teacher with more than 30 years of experience.

Photography Classes
Day of the week: Thursdays
Time: various
Location: Participants will meet at the OV Community Center and drive to a location selected by the instructor. Participants will be responsible for providing their own transportation.
Details: This class will be taught at various locations and will provide instruction for a variety of photography skills and techniques. The 4-week session will a variety of photography: basic, bird, architectural and street and candid photography. These group classes will be taught by an instructor with more than 25 years of experience.
Cost: $180 for 4-week session or $50 per class

Painting And Drawing With Christine Lytwynzuk

Details: Join us at our fun and supportive Painting and Drawing class. This class is structured like a “small group private lesson.” Christine will work with artists one-on-one, helping them achieve their specific goals in art at their own pace. All skill levels are welcome! If you’ve never touched a brush before or can’t draw with a pencil, no problem! Christine can help you build a strong foundation and give you the confidence you need to make art an enjoyable and rewarding part of your life.
Exhibits At The Pusch House Museum At Steam Pump Ranch
The Oro Valley Historic Society (OVHS) presents exhibits at the Pusch House Museum the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Saturdays September through April. Walking tours of Steam Pump Ranch are the 3rd Saturday of the month (except December). Exhibits and tours are from 9 a.m. to noon.
