Eighteen Artifacts Exhibit

The Tifton-Tift County Public Library is hosting the Eighteen Artifacts: A Story of Jewish Atlanta tour starting August 7th and ending September 10th.

Eighteen Artifacts explores the history of Jews in Atlanta through artifacts, images, and oral histories. The new tour features two exhibits touring the state simultaneously. The Eighteen Artifacts exhibit first toured Georgia’s public libraries in 2019.

The Breman Museum in Atlanta has connected visitors and Georgia residents to the Jewish history, culture, and arts for over 20 years in the form of permanent exhibits, guided tours, programming for all ages, immersive events featuring lectures and discussions with Holocaust survivors, and live events. Most recently, the museum is hosting the exhibition History with Chutzpah, which includes 250+ artifacts, documents, photographs, and oral histories revealing stories from the generations before us and offering a journey into Jewish culture unlike any other.

Library patrons can also check out a Breman Family Pass from any of the 409 public libraries in Georgia. When checked out just like any other library item and taken to the Breman Museum, it is good for four free general admissions.

Reading Rascals Schedule Change

Our weekly storytime, Reading Rascals, will be undergoing a date change soon. Starting on August 18th, Reading Rascals will be moved to Fridays at 11:30 AM! We apologize for any inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience with the new changes!

Mommie & Me Book Club
The perfect book club for moms (since the kids can come along) will be meeting on Tuesday, August 8th. The current book is The Boys from Biloxi by John Grisham.
