La Fiesta Del Pueblo

Come find us this Saturday, September 23, at La Fiesta Del Pueblo! La Fiesta Del Pueblo is the largest Hispanic festival in South Georgia. This annual celebration seeks to promote cultural awareness and provide positive visibility for Hispanic members in our community. All are welcome to enjoy the festivities and partake in the fun. We’ll see you at Fullwood Park!

Weekly Calendar of Events

Monday, September 18

- 4 p.m. - Fantasy Nation Bookclub: Looking to escape the mundane in this reality, then look no further! Adventure awaits with the Fantasy Nation Bookclub! this bookclub is for older teens and young adults to gather and discuss the wonderous worlds of fantasy fiction. This month's book is Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard. Anyone aged 16-24 is welcome to come and kick off this exciting program.

Tuesday, September 19

- 4 p.m. - Teen Crafternoon: Stop by the library to enjoy a calm afternoon of crafting. This month, teens will be printmaking by using Legos! They will be using the Legos to craft their designs, and using paint to manually print. This program is designed for teens ages 12-18, and no registration is required. Feel free to drop in!

- 5 p.m. - Bingo: Get ready to shout BINGO! The Tifton- Tift County Public Library brings you Bingo Night! Hosted by our wonderful Ms. Lesley, bring your friends and family for a chance to win great prizes and have tons of fun. Make sure to pre-register by giving us a call, or just come by and see us! We'll do it for you. See you there!

- 6 p.m. - Clases de Computación en Español: Esta clase está diseñada para ayudar a nuestra comunidad hispana a adquirir valiosas habilidades informáticas. Visítenos para tener la oportunidad de ganar premios y para compartir refrescos. Registro es necesario.

This class is designed to help our Hispanic community gain valuable computer skills. Stop by for a chance to win prizes and enjoy refreshments. Registration is required.

Wednesday, September 20

- 4 p.m. - Sewing Friends-y: Youth sewing will meet for its final class this Wednesday to complete their handmade bags. If you plan on using your own machine, don't forget to bring it along!

Thursday, September 21

- 10 a.m. - Death Café: Visit the Death Café to eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death (facilitated by an End-of-Life Doula, Civil/Humanist celebrant).

- 5 p.m. - Anime Club: Teens are welcome to come attend this program, watch some anime, and have fun! This week, we are watching Spy X Family and Assassination Classroom. No registration is necessary.

- 5 p.m. - 7p.m. - Clases De Ingles: Join us at the Tifton Library for free ESOL classes held every Thursday! Designed for Hispanic participants to learn English. All are welcome!

- 5:30 p.m. - Hora De Cuentos en Español: ¡Ven a visitarnos para nuestra hora de cuentos en español! ¡Los niños de 0 a 5 años y sus cuidadores disfrutarán de historias, canciones y más con nuevos amigos!

Come visit us for our Spanish story time! Kids ages 0-5 and their caregivers will enjoy stories, songs, and more with new friends!

Friday, September 22

- 11:30 a.m. - Reading Rascals: This program is a weekly storytime for the littles that includes stories, songs and a mess free craft. Caregivers must accompany their littles. Hosted by our lovely Ms. Grace, make sure to stop by and have some fun!

Saturday, September 23

- All Day - La Fiesta Del Pueblo: Come find us at La Fiesta Del Pueblo in Fullwood Park!
