Summer Reading Registration

We’re All Together Now for our Summer Reading Program (SRP) at the Tifton-Tift County Public Library! Register from the comfort of your own home with this online form but don’t forget to come by TTCPL for your official SRP bag, reading log, event calendar, and more! Summer Reading runs through July 27^th.

Big Read Grant

We are thrilled to announce that the library, in partnership with the Tifton Council for the Arts and the Literacy Volunteers of Tifton-Tift County, has been awarded a National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Big Read grant! To quote the Big Read website, the Big Read “broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the joy of sharing a good book. Showcasing a diverse range of themes, voices, and perspectives, the NEA Big Read aims to inspire meaningful conversations, artistic responses, and new discoveries and connections in each community.”

Take a moment of your time to read the official NEA announcement and see Tifton mentioned on the national stage!

We are very excited to be part of the Big Read, and will be releasing more information as the kick-off approaches in the spring.

Whither the Weather?
In the event of inclement weather, next week’s outdoor activities will be moved indoors at the library.

Movie Showing: Encanto
Join the library for a free showing of Disney’s Encanto at the Tift Theatre on Thursday, June 22nd at 2 PM.

Art Club
We’re painting the town this summer at our All Ages Art Club on Mondays at 10 AM. Participants are encouraged to dress for a mess!

Destination Discovery
Gather your kiddos and, weather permitting, join us at Fulwood Park on Tuesday, June 20th for a fun scavenger hunt activity! This program, designed for littles aged 0–5, is accompanied with a fun story about nature, a simple nature hike and then playground play! In the event of inclement weather, we will still be doing a scavenger hunt, but we will be inside the library instead!
