Meet Our MESSIAH Soloists !

Eun Ah Roh, soprano is praised for her “vocal gymnastics and projection”, making her operatic debut as Queen of the Night in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, a role she has gone on to perform with several opera companies in America and abroad. Most recently, she is the Gold Prize winner of the American Classical Music Awards and the First prize winner of the Medici Int. Music Competition.

Chad Kranak, Armenian-American tenor, praised for his "lyrical eloquence and attractive lyric sound" by Opera News, is known for the musicality and vulnerability he brings to the stage. With many leading opera roles under his belt, he is equally comfortable on the concert stage performing venues such as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and has covered a wide range of composers from Bach to Beethoven.

Madison Hatten, soprano is most recently recognized for her performance as Mimì in La bohème, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. This season, she makes her company debut with Opera San José in Bartok's Bluebeard's Castle and with Pocket Opera in Offenbach's La vie Parisienne. Based in Stateline, NV, Madison is excited perform "at home" with the Tahoe Symphony this holiday season!

Michael TK Lam, tenor is an international artist based in Reno and serves on faculty at UNR. In 2018, he was part of the British premiere of Gounod’s Polyeucte in London, where he played the role of the Roman patrician Sextus. In 2022, Michael made his New York debut with dell’Arte Opera Ensemble’s young artist program, where he performed in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno d’Ulisse in patria and Lucero’s Juana. In addition to his US and UK debuts, Michael has frequented various music festivals and opera productions in Austria and Italy.

Narensetseg Ren, Tsahar - Mongolian mezzo is an award-winning opera singer celebrated for her profound artistry and cultural diplomacy. Her performances blend deep emotional resonance with technical precision, making her a compelling interpreter of Baroque and classical repertoire. Outside the opera stage, REN is known for her dedication to preserving art songs and bridging musical traditions, where she brings a unique voice to the stage that honors both Eastern and Western musical heritage.

Emzy Burroughs, baritone is pleased to return to perform with TOCCATA again! With a MM in Vocal Performance from the University of Nevada, Reno, he has performed for several companies including Western Nevada College, Utah Vocal Arts Academy, Musical Theatre West, Nevada Opera, Opera San Jose, Disneyland Resort, and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. He thanks his family and friends for their love and support.

Becky Earl, soprano is a Reno native and has performed with various symphonic groups in the Reno area over the years, including: the University of Nevada, Reno Concert Choir and Symphonic Choir; Nevada Opera; Reno Philharmonic Orchestra; Reno Chamber Orchestra; Toccata; and several churches. No stranger to the opera stage, Becky's performance resume includes  roles with Nevada Opera, UNR Opera, and Hadessa. 

Margaret Natarajan, soprano was born in Taiwan and studied piano at an early age. While attending University of Southern California, she fell in love with opera and began voice training at the university. After a 30-year performing hiatus, she has returned to singing here in Tahoe under the tutelage of Dolora Zajick. Margaret has since performed at several black-tie galas with International Wine and Food Society around the world.

EPIC | Elizabeth Pitcairn in Concert

Elizabeth Pitcairn makes her annual return to TOCCATA to showcase her technical prowess on the Stradivarius “Red” Mendelssohn violin. Featuring works by Saint Saëns, Borodin, and Chausson with plenty of fan-favorite encores from our soloist. 

SPRING AWAKENING | Mozart & Vivaldi Choral Works

Tahoe Symphony welcomes in the Spring season by celebrating the classical beauty of two choral sacred works by Mozart and Vivaldi, accompanied by a short-and-sweet interlude led by artistic director, Alex Eisenberg on the violin. 

IOLANTA | A Night At The Opera

Step into the world of one of Tchaikovsky’s greatest achievements: a one-act opera that tells a moving story of love and self-discovery.  A heart-felt tale told through powerful singers and lush orchestration, TSO's concert presentation of Iolanta will be an unforgettable "night at the opera".

MAJESTY & MELODY |  Saint Saëns Organ Symphony 

Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony fills the space with an electrifying power you can feel as much as hear. Paired with Schumann’s Cello Concerto, this concert lets you dive into two epic works that show off the richness and drama of classical music.

COMING HOME | An American Celebration

Dan Forrest's choral masterpiece, Jubilate Deo brings Psalm 100 to life in seven languages, showcasing America's modern and diverse musical voice. With Copland's Appalachian Spring capturing the vast spirit of American landscapes, this concert is a tribute to unity, heritage, and new horizons.

MESSIAH | Handel & Holiday Favorites
