From: Town Of ErieTown Administrative Functions Closed Dec. 23 and Dec. 26
Town Hall and other administrative facilities will be closed on Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of Christmas. This closure does not include any 24/7 public safety services which will continue to provide service as usual.
The Erie Community Center will be on a regular schedule for both Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26 but will have the following changes to service over the weekend:
Saturday, Dec. 24 – open 6 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 25 - CLOSED
Final Call for Volunteers!
The Erie Police Department has almost gathered a full class of volunteers to become Volunteer Victim Advocates! Advocates work as a liaison with officers and detectives immediately after a report to provide support services to those impacted by crime or tragedy. The next Volunteer Academy begins in January, with another in the Spring. For more details, and to apply, visit the news item. Join the Fun at the Erie Ice Rink
Grab your beanie and mittens, the Erie Ice Rink is open! This seasonal amenity is available for public skate, private rentals, and is home to the Erie Outdoor Hockey League. Open skate is available nearly every day and the rink is even open for limited hours on Christmas Eve for some family fun on the ice. Erie Receives Grant for Water Conservation Programs
The Boulder County Environmental Sustainability Matching Grant program provides funding to governmental organizations in Boulder County for environmental sustainability projects. Projects funded in this year’s round of grants will support a diverse range of sustainability initiatives including supporting commercial landscaping providers in adopting electric equipment, implementing building electrification and cooling solutions to address extreme heat, and managing aquatic ecosystems without harmful chemical applications. The Town of Erie will use the grant award of $25,980 to offer water conservation rebates to residents as well as water conservation services in partnership with Resource Central.

- Road Grinding on Erie Parkway – The contractor for roadwork at Erie Parkway and WCR 7 will be working on smoothing out the roadway from Jan. 2-6, 2023. This work is necessary to bring the road into compliance with the Town’s construction standards. Lane shifts will be in place throughout the grinding process and work is weather/temperature dependent.
Road work is weather-dependent, and timelines may shift. Motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians should always be aware and use caution when in and around work zones. Whenever possible, please avoid the construction areas.
