Bigelow Center Information
Registration begins this week for the spring semester of exercise classes and Pickleball. Pickleball does not have an instructor and classes are for intermediate players—no beginners at this time.
Fairfield residents can begin to register on Monday, February 13 at 9:00AM and out of town members on Tuesday, February 21 at 9:00AM (Center is closed on 2/20.)
Registration can be done two ways:
1. Register AND pay by credit card online at myactivecenter.com (account must be set up ahead of time.)
2. In-person on the day registration opens and pay with cash or check. We do not accept credit card payment at the Center.
* You will not be fully registered for the class until payment is received.
When you register for classes you are registering for the entire semester of classes. Out of town members must have their $25 annual membership fee paid or you will not be able to register for classes.
Spanish Language Class
Wednesdays, March 1—April 26
10:00—Beginner, 11:00—Intermediate
Learn a new language! Join Spanish Teacher, Luz Rincon, for a wonderful class on this delightful language. Do you want to learn the basic grammar and structure of this beautiful language in addition to basic sentences and expressions to communicate for fun? A minimum number of students is required to run the class. Fee is $100. Register and pay by check at the Front Desk by February 27.

It depicted the lives of ordinary black men and women in America in the fifties and sixties. Based on a true story recounted in a book by Margot Lee Shetterly, Hidden Figures centered around three young black women who were involved in the US space program at its very beginning. Tarij P. Henson, Janelle Monae, and Octavia Spencer star as the three women. 127 minutes. CC. Black History Month Pick.
