IMPORTANT: The deadline to APPLY for FEMA assistance is January 12

If you need help filling out paperwork, please call 1-800-621-3362 or visit DisasterAssistance.gov. The line is open every day from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time. FEMA Representatives are also available in person at the Beach Baptist Church Disaster Recovery Center.

If you are waiting on an insurance claim to apply for FEMA assistance - DO NOT WAIT. Apply for FEMA assistance BEFORE January 12. If FEMA denies your application due to insurance, you can appeal it. You cannot apply for FEMA assistance after the deadline. You also need to have a FEMA application in to use the "Unite Florida Portal" for assistance from the State of Florida.

FEMA will provide temporary housing to eligible hurricane survivors. For details, click here.

Gov. DeSantis has provided the “Unite Florida Portal” for state sheltering and housing assistance. You must register with FEMA for individual assistance to access the state's funds.

If you happen to be denied through FEMA, please appeal this. Do not wait for insurance to come in as waiting on insurance is an acceptable reason to appeal.

The news release about the portal can be found hereAPPLY NOW FOR FEMA ASSISTANCE: Deadline is January 12.
