Public Works Director Joseph Colello would like to inform Town residents that Hamden Public Works will begin curbside pick-up of Christmas trees on Monday, January 9^th, 2023. Trees should be free of all wrappings, lights and decorations. Pick-up will be town-wide. Artificial trees are not included in this pickup.

All real trees are added to the brush pile at the Hamden Transfer Station and are recycled into woodchips, composting materials, and all other natural landscaping materials.

Residents may take their discarded trees, both real and artificial, to the Hamden Transfer Station located at 231 Wintergreen Ave. Their normal hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 11:30am and 12:30pm - 3:00pm, as well as the 1st Saturday of each month from 8:00am - 11:45am.
