Administrative Assistant (Land Use and Building Departments)
An opportunity to define a new role, this 35-hour benefited Monday through Thursday position is responsible for processing applications for the land use boards, providing administrative and clerical support, scheduling hearings, coordinating building permit application process, and responding to inquiries from the general public. The applicants must have a high school degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred), three to five years’ experience as an administrative assistant, ability to keep accurate, organized, and detailed records, and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Recording Secretary (Land Use Department)
This all-remote position is ideal for an individual with good typing skills and the ability to produce documents free of typographical and grammatical errors. Proficiency in MS Office applications, and organizational skills are a must; interest in local government helpful. This role is responsible for administrative, professional, and supervisory work in developing recreation programs and activities to meet the needs of Town residents. Council on Aging Van Driver
Are you recently retired or presently looking for job flexibility? Work with the Council on Aging and help our community at the same time. Van Drivers are needed immediately to provide van transportation for persons 60 years or older and/or with a disability. This is a part-time on-call position through the Council on Aging for up to 2-3 days per week. Drivers are trained through MART (Montachusett Regional Transit Authority). Candidates must pass a CORI and receive ongoing training and submit to random drug testing. If a candidate has a CDL license, even better! Pay rate $15.69/hour.
