International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is a worldwide annual observance, initiated by the people of Bangladesh, to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. The Town of Manchester and multicultural community partners will honor and celebrate IMLD with the goal to inspire acceptance and solidarity. The events, Feb. 25 & 26 are free of charge and open to the public.
Rebuilding Together
Rebuilding Together Manchester is accepting applications for 2023 home repair and maintenance projects. We are a non-profit organization that assists low-income Manchester homeowners, specifically the elderly, disabled, and families with children, with maintenance and home repairs that they are unable to manage on their own. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, March 1st 2023.

Historic Preservation Awards
The Cheney Brothers National Historic Landmark District Commission recognizes property owners who have improved their property in a manner that preserves its historic value and character. Through their example these owners show we can enhance the present and future of Manchester without discarding its past. Nomination forms can be found online and are due March 31, 2023.
CDBG Public Hearings
CDBG Public Hearings: Residents are invited to provide input on how to spend Manchester’s federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds during the program year that begins October 1, 2023. Hybrid public hearings will be held Tuesday, February 28th at 11am and 5:30pm. In-person attendees will meet in the Lincoln Center Hearing Room, 494 Main St.
Persons who wish to attend virtually must submit a request to [email protected]. Only those who submit a request will receive a link to join the meeting.

MyHomeCT Program
The MyHomeCT Program offers help to eligible Connecticut homeowners by paying mortgage and/or other qualified housing expenses. This can include reinstatement, up to 12 months of forward payments, or a combination of both
