Our Technology Department has been working with all Town departments and our webhost provider to prepare for the launch of a new, refreshed website for the Town of Monroe. We are looking to launch the new site soon. Our new website will be at www.MonroeCT.gov.
Business Updates
Panera Bread - Join us tomorrow, December 14, 2022 at 10:00 am for the Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting at 205 Monroe Turnpike!
Golf Oasis is a new indoor golf & lounge now open at 695 Main Street.
A Little More Space - A new self-storage facility is planned at the former Stevenson Lumber site.
Dunkin - The new, stand-alone restaurant in Village Square needed approval from the Connecticut Dept. of Transportation, which has now been received. Construction is scheduled for spring 2023.
Pepper Street
The permanent base course of pavement has been installed for the majority of the road. A limited area has had temporary pavement installed for the winter season. Some off-road work is planned over the winter, and the final, top course paving will be done in the spring. A new traffic signal will also be installed at the northern Main Street intersection once equipment has been delivered.
