From: Town Of Prescott ValleyThe Town of Prescott Valley is enhancing its economic development strategy with a more centralized approach. The Town has provided notice to the Prescott Valley Economic Development Foundation (PVEDF) that it intends to end its contract with the organization, in effect since 1996, and will provide planning and recruitment with its current economic development team.
Town Manager Gilbert Davidson said Prescott Valley will continue to form a comprehensive plan that aligns with the Prescott Valley Town Council’s Strategic goals, among which are a Prosperous Community and Quality of Life. The effort will be focused on bringing new jobs and industry, growing tourism, and forming local, regional and state partnerships.
“We want to provide the highest level of economic development services to our business community, and this change will make that goal possible,” said Davidson. “We’ll develop an economic road map identifying the industries that we want to bring here. We’re thankful for PVEDF’s efforts over the years to recruit jobs to Prescott Valley and will build on those efforts moving forward.”
Davidson said the Town also wants to attract industries that will raise the median income level, and diversify the local economy so Prescott Valley is not wholly dependent on certain business sectors.
