Aug. 10 Watercolor en Plein Air, 1-2 p.m. Enjoy a relaxing painting session along the Missouri River. Receive a brief tutorial on watercolor painting, then find a location on-site that inspires you to put brush to paper. Clipboard, chair, water, watercolors, brushes, and paper will be provided.

Aug. 17 Animal Tracks, 1-2 p.m. Learn about the wildlife Lewis and Clark encountered and how to identify the animals based on their tracks. Then, set off on a scavenger hunt to test your skills.

Aug. 24 Navigating Nature, 1-2 p.m. Take on the role of a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition sent on a journey to document the landscape, plants, and animals of the area while learning the basics of navigation. You will be equipped with a clipboard, field journal, field map, compass, and pencils. Conclude your work by sending your findings to the president as the men of the expedition did before departing Fort Mandan.

Aug. 31 Agriculture Along the Missouri River, 1-2 p.m. Discover the rich agricultural heritage along the Missouri River, from Indigenous gardens to modern-day agricultural practices.
