Photographer Jennifer Ray tackles the US’s violent past and present. Amanda Pfister partnered with poet April Pameticky to create a work that speaks about motherhood, monotony, and feminism.

Both are faculty at WSU's School of Art, Design and Creative Industries and artists featured in Transmissions: The XXIV Faculty Biennial, on exhibit Jan. 26-April 22 in the Polk/Wilson Gallery. Join us at 11:15 a.m., Tuesday, March 7 to learn about their inspiration and processes.

Students Sought to Fill Roles at the Ulrich

The Ulrich is in immediate need of responsible, dependable, and eager student workers to handle a variety of tasks at the Ulrich Museum of Art.

These employees will work as gallery attendants, cover the front desk, assist with event set-up and break down, help hang posters and do other duties as assigned. The Ulrich is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. These positions are required to work some Saturdays and occasional evenings, as well as available workdays. We understand that students can have challenging schedules, and we work to accommodate them when possible. Applicants must be at least 18. Priority will be given to students enrolled in the Work Study program.

Interested students should drop by the Ulrich between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to fill out an application. Questions about these positions can be directed to [email protected].

It's Time to Apply for Ulrich Internships

If you know a great candidate for an internship with the Ulrich Museum, now is the time to send them our way!

Three paid internships are available thanks to the Stev Overstreet Ulrich Museum of Art Internship Fund. These offer valuable experience in the everyday workings of a university art museum. Interns can earn up to $2,500 per semester. Additional internship funding is provided by The Kouri Museum Assistantship and the WSU Student Government Association.

The application period is March 1-31 for internships during the 2023-24 academic year. Now is the time to prepare submission materialswhich include a current resume accompanied by a cover letter. We strongly recommend visiting the Museum's exhibitions and events, and exploring this website before writing the cover letter. Find more details about internships here.

Have you shared your Ulrich memories with us yet?

Our 50th anniversary is right around the corner (in 2024) and we're planning lots of great exhibitions and events to celebrate the Museum's excellence. One thing we are working on is collecting memories from folks who have been connected to the Ulrich over the years. Whether you are a present or past employee, a donor, volunteer, student, or general visitor, we'd love to hear your favorite memories of the Ulrich. We've created this webpage, which has a form on it, to help you share your stories. The memories we collect will be shared throughout our 50th anniversary celebrations and might even end up in a book we're putting together. We'd love to hear your stories.
