Rich and alluring, the striking blue color known as indigo has inspired weavers, dyers, designers, and sculptors across the globe. Theresa Clowes has a piece of work in the current exhibition “Indigo” at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The piece in the show is the felted lace piece titled Colorado River (2019), which was featured in WFA's exhibition, ENVIRONMENTAL REFLECTIONS, this past fall.
Gloria Pereyra's series titled The Strange Tale of a Bird in a Looking Glass has been honored by the 20th edition of The Julia Margaret Cameron Awards in the Story Telling division The prints are on silk organza over 24K gold leaf and were exhibited earlier this year at WFA in our group exhibition PERIPHERAL CONTEMPLATION.
