From: Town Of Castle RockWeigh in on design concepts to help improve Downtown wayfinding by June 9
Wayfinding signs help provide visual cues to guide people to their destinations. The Town is embarking on a plan to improve signage Downtown to be more cohesive and aid in navigation throughout the area.
In this project’s second and final public survey, the community is invited to share their thoughts on two design concepts that will be used to improve directional signage within Downtown Castle Rock.
These design concepts were created from comments received during the project’s initial Townwide December 2022 online wayfinding survey. Participants were given a series of questions and shown inspirational images. They were then asked to provide feedback on preferred design styles, materials and colors, which was used to provide insight into the community's vision for improved wayfinding.
The results of this second public survey will help the project team create a Downtown wayfinding signage plan, which is aimed at improving mobility, enhancing recreational activity, providing vehicle guidance and increasing roadway safety around Downtown. Directional signage plans for private businesses are not included in this program.
The plan is being funded by the Town and is anticipated to be concluded by the end of 2023. Future funding for the signage has not been determined.
We would like your thoughts on the Town’s wayfinding design concepts! Provide your feedback at CRgov.com/WayfindingSurvey by Friday, June 9. For more information about the project, visit CRgov.com/Wayfinding.
