Kingston, NY -- Welcome to the Machine, an exhibition featuring the surreal work of Mark Hopkins, a renowned artist from New York’s Hudson Valley at the Lace Mill Gallery in Kingston. The exhibition showcases Hopkins' best work, including The Last Supper, his internationally recognized masterpiece.

The event will feature a preview and panel discussion at 3:30 PM, and there will be a poetry reading at 7:00 PM.

About the Artist

Working in the realm of surrealism, Mark Hopkins explores the dynamism of life in the 21st century. Drawing from past experiences, popular culture, and esotericism, he creates a body of work that both observes and critiques modern culture while illuminating the mysteries that unite humanity. His work provides deeper insight into how we perceive reality.

Mark is both classically trained and self-taught. He has studied the figure and portraiture to refine his technical skills and translate realism into the surreal imagery that defines his work. He considers himself a universal citizen, seeking to understand the commonalities among all people while celebrating the rich diversity of religions, cultures, and traditions around the world.
