Wellspring Teams with Drug Enforcement Administration for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Clubs and Organizations

April 17, 2023

From: National Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependency

On Saturday, April 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wellspring Center for Prevention and the Drug Enforcement Administration are urging residents to participate in the 2023 National Prescription Drug Take Back Day at locations throughout the county. Residents will be able to drop off pills, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs.  For more than a decade, the event has helped Americans easily rid their homes of unneeded medications—those that are old, unwanted, or expired—that too often become a gateway to addiction.

Take Back Day offers free and anonymous disposal of unneeded medications at more than 4,000 local drop-off locations nationwide.
