Boston Classical Guitar Society Presents

The Back Bay Trio

Saturday, February 4th, 3:00 - 4:00 PM

Multipurpose Room 138

The Back Bay Guitar Trio is an exciting new ensemble that has made an immediate impression on the New England music scene. The group formed in early 2002 when David Newsam invited former student Steve Marchena and his duo partner John Mason to perform as a trio. All three guitarists are respected educators and performers with extremely diverse musical interests. These talents blend themselves in a unique way within the trio. The BBGT create a new and exciting approach to the classical guitar trio while still respecting the long-standing tradition.

Delvena Theatre Company Presents: "All the Presidents' Women"
Saturday, February 11th, 2:00 - 3:30 PM

Multipurpose Room 138

Join us for another wonderful performance by the Delvena Theatre Company! All the Presidents' Women  looks into the lives (sometimes behind closed doors!) of some our United States presidents, their wives, mothers, etc. Did you know that one our most famous first ladies was committed to a mental institution by her own son? Have we already had a female president? Which first lady may have murdered her husband while he was still in office? Fascinating stories – not well known – bring lively entertainment and promotes dialogue after the performance between the cast and the audience. Space is limited so register today.

This performance is made possible through the use of library state aid funds.

Planning Your Remodeling Project with Richard Connolly

Six Mondays, March 6, 13,  20, 27 & April 3, 10 from 6:30-8:30 PM

For homeowners with a project planned for the next 6-12 months.

Join educator, author, consumer advocate, and construction consultant, Richard Connolly, for a fun, interactive, and informative class that removes the guesswork from renovations.

This six-week, adult education course provides homeowners a roadmap to research and plan their remodeling projects from concept through completion. It includes several presentations by subject experts, a survey of materials and products and their impact on labor, a case study, and an analysis of comprehensive, detailed labor and material specifications as a means of obtaining competitive bids, controlling costs, and establishing performance-based payments.  The program emphasizes relationship-building over construction and the importance of developing an effective network that meets or exceeds your expectations for quality, price, and performance.

Register once for all six sessions. Due to limited capacity and high demand, only one person per household may register, and we will notify you no later than February 23rd if space is available for you to attend.

Please register for a chance to attend this popular workshop!
