The Fair Housing laws give all individuals the right to live wherever they choose and can afford. It prohibits discrimination based on
RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, NATIONAL ORIGIN, SEX, DISABILITY, FAMILIAL STATUS
(families with children under the age of 18 years).
The laws prohibit housing providers such as landlords, sellers, lenders, and insurance agents from discriminating against anyone who has any one of the “protected classes” in the purchasing, rental financing, or insuring of housing.

Las leyes de la Igualdad en la Vivienda otorgan el derecho de vivir en donde seleccionen, Y prohibe la discriminación por razón de Raza, Color, Religión, Origen Nacional, Sexo, Incapacidad (físicamente y lo mentalmente) o Estado Familiar (familias con hijos menos de 18 años de edad)
Las leyes prohíben que los dueños y vendedores discrimen en contra de miembros de esta siete clases en la venta, compra, o renta de viviendas. Todo tipo de viviendas son incluidas, incluso casa individúales, apartamentos, condominios, casas móviles, y otras áreas comunes.
