7:30 pm: Key Note speaker Langdon Cook, author of The Mushroom Hunters: A Hidden World of Food, Money and (Mostly Legal) Adventures

Pay Dirt: The Wild West of Fungi will be his topic for the evening

Join author Langdon Cook for a tour of his award-winning book The Mushroom Hunters. Cook embeds himself in the shadowy subculture of mushroom harvesting for profit, reporting from rural woods and big city restaurants. Meet the pickers, buyers, and chefs in a "patch to plate" slideshow that reveals this free-wheeling frontier-style economy in action.
