4-H Learning By Doing
Rick Godke, 4-H Youth Extension Agent
4-H is an educational organization for school-age youth that encourages learning through hands-on projects. 4-H is no longer just raising cows and pigs or canning and sewing. Although we still have these projects, the possibilities now include arts, government, leadership development, marine science, public speaking, camping, consumer choices, sciences, and pets to name a few. 4-H is an educational group sponsored by the University of Florida and the United states Department of Agriculture and local clubs are organized by local volunteers.
All DuvalCounty children between the ages of 5 and 18 are welcome to join a 4-H Club.
