Acts Church Of Henry County

1181 Highway 42 North

In 1994, a group of Apostolic believers began meeting in respective homes around the Rex and Stockbridge area. Pastor Steve Waldron led the small assembly in Bible study and preached the Word of the Lord.
1995 saw the vision of Pastor Waldron bearing greater fruit with the store-front establishment of Apostolic Christian Tabernacle in Ellenwood, Ga.

By the spring of 1996, the congregation had grown, and a larger sanctuary was needed. Two miles north of McDonough city limits, a tract of land was located, and construction began on a permanent home. The name of the assembly was changed to Acts Church of Henry County.

Henry County has continued to grow in order to meet the needs of a vibrant community. Open to all who desire to worship the Lord, ACoHC is now comprised of the main sanctuary (right), a 5,500 sq.ft. Apostolic Life Center, as well as a free-standing library (which also doubles as missionary quarters), and an additional educational building.

As God continues to bless His people, everyone is invited to become a part of His family, and to witness first-hand how Jesus is transforming the lives of those who live in Henry County...and beyond.

We believe that there is but one God and that Jesus was God manifested in the flesh: He was fully God and fully man.

We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired Word of God and that He has preserved it for His people. It has absolute authority and should be preferred over our opinions, human reasoning and/or non-inspired writings.

We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, conceived of the Holy Ghost, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to redeem all of mankind and rose again on the third day. He has ascended to heaven and will return for His church soon.

We also believe that there is no other name by which we must be saved. The salvation experience is as described in Acts 2:38. To paraphrase, you must repent, you must be baptized in the name of Jesus and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

And we also believe that after the initial salvation experience you should live a life of holiness, bearing the fruit of the Spirit and doing the works that faith in the Lord should produce (repentance and righteousness).
