Open: Year Round
Our Story:
In 2009, Addison Farms Vineyard planted the first acre of what is planned to be a 10 acre vineyard. The vineyard has expanded a little each year, currently at 5 acres. It is at an elevation between 2250' and 2300'. As of April 2014, we have six varieties in the vineyard: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Montepulciano, Petit Verdot, and Petit Manseng.
In 2010, Addison Farms Vineyard completed our first crush from fruit purchased from other regional growers. We crushed ~3.5 tons of Sangiovese from The Olde Place Vineyard and 1.5 tons of Chambourcin from Spring Branch Vineyard. For 2011, we crushed ~3 tons of Chardonnay and Traminette and blended the two to make Gwinn, our first white wine. Our red wines for 2011 came once again from the Chambourcin at Spring Branch Vineyards, and the first fruit from our vineyard, ~1.75 tons of Cabernet Sauvignon. In both 2010 and 2011, we produced ~300 cases.
