To provide a forum for individuals to network and share genealogical and historical research methodology.

To enhance the heritage of African-Americans.

To work cooperatively with other Chapters and groups to exchange ideas and experiences.

To encourage the collection and preservation of memoirs, diaries, documents, artifacts and records of importance to African-American research.

To participate in the programs and activities of the National Society.
