Mission:

To promote the arts by providing art education, organizing artistic events and supporting local artists. We change lives through creative study and artistic experiences, offering classes in ceramics, dance, drama, music, and the visual arts. We organize the highly successful downtown gallery walks four times a year. Local artists show their work in our dedicated gallery space at the Thatcher Young Mansion.

About Us:

The Alliance for the Varied Arts was a volunteer community arts organization that operated a gallery in the Thatcher-Young Mansion and offered a variety of artistic opportunites and creative classes for the benefit of the general public. The classes offered by the AVA were merged into CVCA's programming on July 1, 2010. Classes continuing at the center include ceramics, dance, drama, music, and visual arts for children and adults.
