Mission:
The mission of All Saints' Church is to invite all people into active Christian life, to strengthen the people of God in their dedication to our Lord Jesus and to send out Christian disciples, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to proclaim the Father's reconciling love to the world.
Bishop Bertram Herlong had a vision to plant one church each year in the Diocese of Tennessee. In September 1996, he called Fr. Ray Kasch to begin a church in Smyrna, with the conditions that he would have to begin it by himself and that the church needed to be self-sufficient within five years. Fr. Ray began with a Bible study in an office complex, and by the end of the year, had gathered enough of a core group to launch the church as a Mission on September 7, 1997. As it continued to grow, All Saints’ first met in Joywood Presbyterian Church and then later moved to an abandoned Wal-Mart. The Diocese purchased land for a new church, and in September 2001, All Saints’ moved into its current building. All Saints’ was received as a Parrish of the Diocese in January 2002.
