Using the slogan, "Better Schools Build Better Communities," the Allen County School District states its belief that the school system is the foundation of the community and the hope of the future. Based on this vision, the Allen County School System is committed to providing students with the academic and life skills that are needed to be successful in the 21st Century.

Our school system is growing each day in technology and curriculum choices for students. As new facilities and renovations to existing facilities have increased so have our abilities to meet the needs of all students.

Vocational/Technical programs, gifted programs, exceptional programs, and alternative education are examples of ways we are attempting to meet the needs of Allen County's students. Other key components of the district's program include preschool programs, primary programs, all day kindergarten, evolving curriculum, increased technology, Extended School Services, advanced placement classes, extra-curricular offerings, School-Based Decision Making Councils, Family Resource and Youth Services Centers, School-To-Work initiatives, an active Business and Industry Advisory Council and a Safe Schools initiative. Education in Allen County is a partnership between the parents, the schools, and the community.
