Our goal at Alvin ISD is to have students life-ready; they will be ready to continue their education or enter the workforce. Selecting a career and the educational facility that will help students attain their goals is one of the most important decisions they make as a young adult. For those who have already made a decision concerning which career to pursue and which college to attend, attention needs to be focused on being admitted to that institution. For those who have not made this important decision, attention needs to be focused on narrowing your choice of career/colleges to a workable list.

As for post high school education, there is a wide selection of colleges and training available which will meet your needs. However, each of these colleges is a reflection of its educational philosophy combined with the make-up of the size of its student body. Therefore, selecting the college which is just right for you can be an overwhelming task unless you study the differences between colleges and set priorities which are important. Remember, don’t let anything stop you from attaining your life goals.
