The Alzheimer's Association -- North Central Texas Chapter, which is affiliated with the national Alzheimer's Association in Chicago, is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization that covers a 40-county service area. Fort Worth serves as headquarters for the chapter, which has regional offices in Abilene, Waco and Wichita Falls. The North Central Texas Chapter serves more than 9,000 individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia annually through programs and services made possible by contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations.
