Amarillo Competitive Fencing Association (ACFA) at Amarillo College is a non-profit association of persons with an interest in fencing as a modern competitive sport.  Many ACFA members actively participate or compete at USA Fencing tournaments at all competitive levels.  ACFA is a member club of USA Fencing, the national governing body of competitive fencing in the United States.

ACFA is the largest fencing program in Amarillo and the West Texas area from the top of the Texas panhandle south to the Pecos River.  It operates in agreement with Amarillo College by providing instructors for the fencing classes in the Personal Enrichment Department of Amarillo College.

ACFA is the "home club" of Juleah Nusz, the 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPION in Junior Women's Epee.  Head Coach Chuck Slaughter was recognized in 2006 by the United States Fencing Association and the United States Olympic Committee as National Volunteer Coach of the Year in Fencing.  He was a finalist for the US Olympic Committee's Volunteer Coach of the Year in all sports.

ACFA practices in the Fencing Salle located in Russell Hall, Room 104, on the Washington Street Campus of Amarillo College, on the northeast corner of Washington and 24th Streets, in Amarillo, Texas.  You can usually find one of the coaches at the Fencing Salle on Monday or Thursday at 7:00 p.m. or Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

All ACFA fencers are students in the Amarillo College fencing classes each semester and competitive fencers are also members of USA Fencing.  Feel free to register for a class or drop in at a class or practice to see how you can be part of one of the fastest growing sports in the USA.
