Welcome to Depot Days in Amboy, Illinois
Depot Days, since 1982, is a celebration of our town's rich history and multicultural traditions. A lawyer for the Illinois Central Railroad, Abraham Lincoln once stopped in Amboy long enough to get a haircut, and later campaigned and stayed overnight here on his way to Freeport for one of the Lincoln-Douglas Debates. A memorial stone at the Amboy Depot Museum shows where he gave that speech. We hope you will enjoy your time here during our celebration! If you have any questions about Depot Days events and activities, or about the town or area in general, please contact us at 815.857.3814.
