The Anchorage Garden Club has been organized:

For the mutual enjoyment, study and advancement of gardening,     

horticulture, landscape design and floral design;

To aid in the protection and conservation of natural resources and to encourage building and improvement of roadsides, parks, botanical gardens and horticultural centers;

To constantly strive toward community beautification;

To hold shows and exhibits for the enjoyment and education of the public;

And, to study and conserve native flowers, shrubs and trees.
