Anna Maria Island Art League

5312 Holmes Boulevard
941-778-2099

The Art League was founded in 1989 by a small group of artists and art lovers to bring art to the island community. In June 1993 the Art League opened the island's first art center at 5312 Holmes Blvd.

The Anna Maria Island Art League welcomes your membership and your participation. Volunteerism is central to the League's continued existence in this unique and beautiful island community. Opportunities to volunteer are within the governing board, the two art festivals; Winterfest and Springfest, and our annual Secret Shop.

The League offers a broad range of classes for children and adults at the Art Center. The two art festivals each year in December and March provide funds for the Art Center and other community service programs.

The Art League has grown in the past fifteen years. Within the center is a large exhibit/classroom, membership gallery/conference room, photo lab art library, and picnic grounds. Each year there are new exhibitions of both local and regional artists and the public is invited to their opening receptions.

Chief among the community programs is the League's scholarship program which provides free art classes to children and adults.

Also popular is the League's Secret Shop where children ages ten and under buy nominally priced holiday gifts that are handcrafted by League members during the year. More than 1000 gifts have been made for this year's event!

Call the Art League for a class schedule or to donate your time or money to support the Arts on the island. The Art League is a nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
