History:

The Antioch Church Family (ACF) had its humble beginnings as the Antioch All Nations Baptist Church under the inspiration of Dr. Lamar Keels.

The church's first official service was held on May 16, 1991 at the Emanuel Baptist Church on 18th Street in Antioch. The congregation worshiped at the Emanuel location for six months then moved to 3109 Lonetree Way in Antioch.

In 1994, Pastor David Lyons was installed as pastor and served for several months. Again, the congregation felt the pain of being "pastorless". Stepping up to the responsibility, Pastor Howell generously availed himself by offering leadership and support and was appointed interim pastor on January 1, 1995.

Pastor Howell brought 12 committed members along with him which included: his wife, Sister Joyce Howell, Rev. and Sister Lionel Thompson, Brother and Sister Gerard Dell and family, Brother and Sister Horace Williams and family, Sister Sabrina Wilson (now Titelbaum) and her son Sinclair Wilson. In addition, four families from the original congregation were present to welcome the new blended family including Sister Delores Turner and family who remain with Antioch Church Family today.

In February of 1995, Deacon and Sister Sylvester Johnson united in fellowship with the church and became the first members to join under the leadership of Pastor Howell.

Two months later in April of 1995, Pastor Howell was officially installed as Pastor. Soon after the church voted to change the name of the church to coincide with the family focused ministry. Thus, the name of Antioch Church Family was born.

God continued to demonstrate His favor upon the Antioch Church Family and the church began to grow. Many souls were saved and added to the congregation. As a result, there was a need to acquire a larger facility for ministry and worship. With praises of thanksgiving, the congregation joyfully acquired the building at 605 W. Madill Street, our current place of worship and fellowship.

Today with over 200 members, Antioch Church Family aims to be a place of worship that is truly led by Christ. Reaching out through its ministries and outreach, the goal of ACF is to win all souls for the glory of God.
