Most people receive very little training in making communication (let alone public speaking), and even less in leadership skills. Then we proceed into professional and personal lives that demand these skills everyday, whether in sales, management, or just trying to talk to our family members and friends! We get projects that demand we harness the power of others but we don't know how to effectively set deadlines or goals, nor how to inspire and persuade others to help.
Wouldn't it be great if you could confidently talk to bosses, peers, friends, family, and anyone else? Wouldn't it be great if you could competently lead and complete projects, communicate ideas and even make some friends while you were at it, and have a great time too?
Since June 1997, Arthur Storer Toastmasters has been helping people speak, lead, and succeed. Whether you're a speaking pro or are too afraid to stand up and tell people your name, our club is for you. Whether you're a seasoned people manager or are trying to learn how to lead others, our club is for you. If you're just looking for a great place to have fun and enjoy your Saturday morning, our club is definitely for you!
You've taken an important step, but the road to success is long. Don't walk it alone! You're invited to join us, absolutely free as a guest, to see what Arthur Storer Toastmasters is all about. It's the best way to see if Toastmasters is right for you. Just FYI: No, you don't have to speak when you visit if you don't want to.
Not quite ready to join? Have a look at some of our articles on the left-side menu.
We meet on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th (when applicable) Saturdays of every month, barring holidays, from 10am to 12pm. Meetings officially start at 10:15am.
Our next meeting will be at St. Paul's Episcopal Church located at 511 E. Pflugerville Pkwy. See our Directions Page for more details.
You can bring just yourself, though you may want to bring something to take notes with. Dress is usually business casual. If you're already convinced you'd like to join, bring a completed New Member Application (note: club number is 9800, and district number is 55) and your checkbook. Our New Guest Guide will also give you a briefing on what we do at our meetings.
