Mission:
Arts Longmont provides leadership and advocacy to support, inspire, and enhance the arts community to elevate the quality of life in the greater St. Vrain Valley region.
Vision:
Incubate. Advocate. Inspire.
About Us:
30 years of Incubating emerging visual and performing artists from our youth to seniors. Advocating for the importance of Art in our daily lives and as an integral part of a student’s education. Inspiring the community through our visual and performing arts programming.
Arts Longmont believes art enhances the quality of life. Every day, we inspire creativity for our artists, students and patrons because art enables us to see the world in a different way.
Since 1985, Longmont Council for the Arts has brought quality cultural and artistic programs to Longmont and the St. Vrain Valley. In December 2014, we changed our name to Arts Longmont. Arts Longmont provides an array of services to artists and cultural arts organizations, including administrative support, grant writing services, fundraising, marketing and promotion, education and community outreach.
Arts Longmont programs include all of the major arts disciplines: visual arts, performing arts, literary arts and art education. Some of its programs have matured into independent non-profit organizations. For example, Art in Public Places is now run by the City of Longmont; ArtWalk was originated by the Longmont Council for the Arts and later adopted by the Old Firehouse Arts Center. In a collaborative effort with The Art Studio, Inc., the Longmont Council for the Arts developed the Old Firehouse Art Center.
