Avoca Baptist Church History

May 1887

GUlletts Creek Baptist Church is petitioned to release 21 members in order to form a church in Avoca. This group of believers forms Avoca Baptist Church.

August 11th, 1887

Avoca Baptist Church is recognized by delegates from various churches of the association as a Missionary Baptist Church.

September 10th, 1902

There is a dedication service for a new one room church. Located at the current location on a hill overlooking the village of Avoca.
