Barr Farms is a seventh generation family farm owned and operated by myself and my wife, Rae Strobel, my aunt and uncle, and my mother and father. We raise grass-finished beef, grass-fed broilers, pastured egg-layers, gourmet mushrooms and a full line of spring summer and fall vegetables. We also have Percheron draft horses for work and pleasure.
This year 2011, will be the fifth year for Barr Farms Veggie CSA. The garden is in small-scale intensive production using double dug raised beds. We also raise vegetables on a larger area using the draft horses. We grow healthy food on remineralized soil.
This year will be the third year for Barr Farms Meat CSA. We offer grass-fed beef and chicken year round to our Meat CSA customers.
