Our name BATES`, shares with the community our mission and goals

We are believing in our youth and the restoration of the family unit; affirming biblical truths, teaching the word of God, equipping each individual and family with knowledge to conquer the power of deception, and supporting by providing on - going counseling services and mentoring programs to our clients.

The BATES` Center has been established not only to administer 'free pregnancy tests and parenting classes' but to provide emotional, spiritual and practical support based on the needs of the individual.

The BATES` Center has qualified counselors to deal with the many life issues that may be associated with our clients. The Center provides Pre-Marital, Marriage, Family, Personal and Crisis Counseling by Certified and/or Licensed Counselors.

The BATES` Center genuinely cares and becomes personally involved with each client.

We offer a TEEN Talk - Chat Session (our abstinence program) once a month for our youth to share the truth and dangers of becoming sexually involved before marriage and other social issues such as drugs, alcohol, and truancy.

We also offer the BAWOW (Becoming a Woman of Worth) mentor program, which affirms with each young lady that she is of significant worth. Not only do we need to 'teach' our young ladies how to parent but we also need to equip them with the knowledge of who they are and why they were created. This in itself will enhance their ability to parent.

The Center also assists with community referrals such as legal and medical. We provide P.A.S.S.; Our Post Abortion Support Sessions that are designed to assist those that have been carrying the weight of their past abortion experience alone.

Adopt - A - Care is another one of mentor programs to promote our teen mothers to remain in high school and further their education.

Our Reaching In - To Reach Out mentor program has been designed for those Women who are incarcerated in the Federal Dentition Center that have children on the outside they need our services. We go in to ministry and go out to serve.

The Center also has a Recovery Support Program called P R E S S, which includes spiritual coaching/counseling, Life Skill Classes which includes health education and money management classes.

In the four years of operation we have seen many lives changed. The road has now been paved to reach out to many more and our future goals are to continue to, Strengthened families, Encourage individual responsibility, and Promote higher standards and continue to stand for Godly principles to be returned to our schools, communities, government and finally to see the sanctity of life restored on all levels.

Round Table Discussion

This program targets young women who are in transition.  Transisiton from high school to college or from college to corporate america. 

Target ages are 19 - 28
