A Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a mutually beneficial partnership between a local farm and a neighborhood. The farm brings fresh, affordable produce to the neighborhood, and the residents provide a stable financial base for the farm by buying "shares" in the farm. Each week CSA members receive 6-10 different, pesticide free vegetables in their share. A share can feed a family of four for one week.
The neighborhood of Bed-Stuy Brooklyn has partnered with Conuco Farm, owned by Hector Tejada, located in nearby New Pulz New York. We offer full and half vegetable shares and are workingto further expand the share options. The season runs from June through October. We have canning workshops, cooking demonstrations and a farm trip during the season.
