Our Mission:
Bethany Christian Preschool partners with parents to nurture and develope the young child as a whole, emphasizing Christ in every phase of life.
First and foremost, we help the children realize that Jesus Christ can be part of every phase of their life. Children will be encouraged to grow at their own development spiritually, emotionally, socially, physically, creatively and academically. Each staff member helps create a loving, safe and nurturing atmosphere. All of the staff has a testimony of a conversion experience and feel God calls them to Christian education.
Bethany Christian Preschool strives to impart a positive biblical influence in the hearts and minds of our students. We have chapel twice a week, with our Bible curriculum being incorporated into the classes daily. The children are given a direct, Godly, personal and loving environment to allow them to be all that God intends them to be.
Our Moto:
Our Motor Development class meets twice a week. The activities planned are to enhance the children's large motor skills.
Our 2 and 3 year olds use the curriculum, “Fundamentals for Growing Children.” Through the use of easy to play group games, children learn the basics of self-esteem, shapes, colors, the sounds of all the letters of the alphabet, and learn to count. Some children will be able to count as high as one hundred.
Our 4 and 5 year olds use two different curriculum books. One book, “I Know Letters and Sounds”, promotes a readiness for learning with many, many opportunities of exposure to skills, which are the foundation to success in school. The text provides for language interaction, thinking skills, good literature, and an introduction to alphabet letters and sounds. The entire alphabet is presented twice during the year in a comfortable, step-by-step progression. The other book the children use is “I Know How to Count and Write”. This worktext provides readiness activities for mathematics and manuscript printing. The arithmetic readiness program focuses primarily on conceptual skills and includes patterning, graphing, measuring, estimation, attribute studies, etc., as well as the more traditional exposure to rote counting and set development. Learning colors, directions, positional words and body parts are carefully interwoven into the book’s design.
Our Vision:
Our vision for the preschoolers is excellence in every area of their preschool experience. We want the children challenged to reach their full potential and to grow in their self-esteem.
